Wedding Bites: DIY Projects

Unfortunately, I consider myself to be one of the most uncreative girls in the world. Yes, I may be a henna artist, and people usually automatically assume that I can design anything and everything just because I can do henna. Continue reading “Wedding Bites: DIY Projects”

Marriage Bites #2: What do you fear the most in marriage?

To be straight-up blunt and honest, my answer is in-laws. Needs no elaboration cos I’m sure everyone can understand even if you’re not getting married anytime soon. H’s family are really nice people, well-mannered and comes from a very respectful background. I consider myself lucky to be able to marry into such a family. Marriage Bites #1: What do you look forward to the most in marriage?

Each time I think about something that I can’t wait to do with my future husband after marriage, the first thing that comes to mind is travelling! Sometimes when I scroll through my emails and I see groupon travel deals, or Tiger Air’s Thursday flash sales or Jetstar Friday Frenzy sales, I start dreaming and wanting to plan for my next holiday. And thinking about who to go with can be quite a headache since not everyone can travel as freely as you. Of course, the first person that comes to mind will be none other than my best friend, or my other half. But cannot travel together yet before marriage, so must wait. So wait, we shall! Marriage Bites

I have come up with an idea on writing down my thoughts and reflections about my journey and transition from being single to married. Basically, this will be just to fill this blog with something while I have nothing much to update for the wedding. Hahahah. This series of posts will be called Marriage Bites!

This idea was inspired by The WTB Diary sharing sessions that I have attended, which started almost 2 years ago. One of the activities that we did was referred to as the ice cream sticks questions. Those who attended, would know what I’m talking about.

So Marriage Bites will be a series of blog posts, whereby I will posting questions and topics about marriage and then I will share my thoughts on them by answering the questions. Each post will have one topic or question, and will be published at a staggered period of maybe between a few days to a week. I already have a list of questions and topics prepared, but feel free to contribute more ideas!

It’s going to be very personal and maybe deep, but writing helps in my thinking process. And I hope that by publishing my thoughts, there will be other WTB/BTB girls out there who share some similar sentiments as me and we know that we are not alone in this journey.

Afterall, a wedding will just last one weekend, but a marriage will last a lifetime.
